ALT Throughout September, we’ve been connecting our current HETV Trainee Finder trainees with experienced Head of Departments in their areas. The sessions provide our trainees with a chance to hear more about the specifics of their department, ask any questions they have and learn in more detail about the roles and responsibilities of a trainee in that department. ALT This week, we hosted an Open Doors event in Barking as part of our HETV Skills Funded First Break programme, connecting local residents with behind-the-camera opportunities in HETV. Partnering with Film London and Sixty Forty Films, creators of Slow Horses, the Open Doors event offers those new to TV the chance to learn about job roles, required skills, and how to apply for training and work experience through the First Break programme. A big thank you to Film London for organising the event and to all those who came along to learn more!

ALT It was a busy week for our high-end TV First Break programme! We held the TV 'Need to Knows' training for Beyond Paradise S3 in Saltash, Cornwall with Screen Cornwall and Dom Weeks. We also hosted two online Open Doors events: one for a new rom-com in Oxford and another for a period drama in Manchester. Through First Break, the Fund partners with industry and local delivery partners across the UK to create new opportunities nationwide for the next generation of screen talent.
