'I am not an XL Bully I am a standard Bully. Unfortunately I might meet the requirements of the XL Bully ban which will mean it will be illegal to rehome me in the new year.
The folks at the hotel cannot cope with the thought of me being put to sleep for doing absolutely nothing wrong in my life apart from being let down by some humans so they have come up with a plan to help me!
- Adult only.
- Pet free.
- A home with experience of large breed dogs.
- Prepared to register me under the exemption scheme in - Secure garden with 6 foot fencing.
- Own your own home or have written permission to keep a banned breed at the premises if you rent.
- Be prepared to travel to the home for multiple meet and greets with me.
- Cover the cost of insurance with PetPlan.
- Cover the cost of the exemption fee.
- Cover the cost of 1 session per week at an appropriate secure field that has 6 foot fences and insurance that allows exempted dogs to use the facility. So I can run around unmuzzled and off lead like every dog should have the opportunity to do.
- Cover the cost of a well fitting muzzle and any replacements needed.
In addition Valleys Dog Behaviour And Training will donate 2 free 1-2-1 sessions to my new owner.

๐ข๐Mikey is a sixteen week old Malinois. We were asked by a local dog warden to help Mikey who contracted the Parvovirus at stray kennels. Mikey was extremely poorly so our charity supported Mikey's veterinary care as an emergency. This young dog has miraculously pulled through after medical care and is now back to a lively, mischievous and busy puppy.
๐ข๐Mikey needs a home as the only dog. Parvovirus is highly contagious to other dogs. It can be fatal. Due to an in-depth conversation with our vets again today new strains of Parvovirus can still be passed to vaccinated dogs. HE NEEDS AN ONLY DOG HOME FOR THIS REASON.
Mikey will still shed the virus for weeks. Mikey needs an experienced dog owner that has time to dedicate with extra stimulation and exercise. He needs firm boundaries, guidance and extra socialisation once he is free from the virus.
He cannot be walked due to passing on the virus still to other dogs. He will need a garden to play, toilet and have stimulation in. Ideally suited in an adult home or with older children. Mikey will mouth and nip hence no small children.
๐ข๐Our vets have been incredible. They have supported us and held on to Mikey for extra days due to us struggling to place him in a home. We could not be more grateful. Despite speaking to over fifty people and many other breed rescues we are consumed by desperation to place this pup in a home as an emergency. We really do not want to place this puppy in isolation at the kennels we board at. THIS IS STILL A RISK. Mikey is currently still at a vets in West Yorkshire.๐ข๐
๐ข๐Yesterday's FB comments were difficult. We ask people to have some empathy for these poorly stray dogs and our charity. We have other dogs to care for and placing Mikey is proving so difficult. To all the people that offer us kind words and support for our dogs - WE THANK YOU.โค๏ธ

Today, weโve been to pick up beautiful ROSA from the pound, she was found as a stray a couple of weeks ago in the middle of the night, absolutely terrified.
The Police who brought her in had named her Rosa, and we think it really suits her .
Poor Rosa is literally petrified of the world - she is terrified of being outside
So scared she will belly crawl and drag back to the safety of her kennel in the pound
Today, just gently lowering her hatch in her kennel made her panic and as she was layed there, she urinated herself in fear โฆ we really canโt imagine what sheโs been through โฆ and we donโt want to
As if this wasn't heartbreaking enough, Rosa was absolutely covered in sores, and her ears were so badly infected they were bleeding and full of old dried blood She has clearly recently had a litter, luckily the last of what was probably many โฆ she is still bleeding
We dread to think what a life she's had - where she's come from and the suffering she's endured.
BUTโฆ the rest of her life starts here. Today. We've got you, Rosa. No one will ever hurt you again, you'll never live in awful conditions again.
Love and comfort is all you'll know now
We'll slowly build your confidence, and fix your body. We're determined that you'll learn that life can be good'
