If you are talking to someone and they grab their phone and start engaging with it mid convo, I think it’s safe to assume that for whatever reason the person is no longer interested in the conversation.

I just need to vent. You have just WAEC from over 30 years ago, 0 skills. How really do you expect anyone to “help” you get work?

My village cousin has come visiting with tales of wanting to add another wife. I don’t know why he thinks I am the right person to have this conversation with 🤷🏾‍♂️

I know life a little too well to fetishize poverty, pain, suffering in any form. I don’t even like the part in the Bible that speaks of poverty as a good thing. Don’t get me wrong. There are MANY things I would NOT DO for money but…I love comfort, sweet scents, good food, a decent amount of freedom. I love looking good, staying healthy etc. Bottomline, I love every good thing life has to offer. Only saying this because there are so many born into wealth that take it so for granted that some don’t see the luxuries their parents provide as any big deal. They convince themselves its not important and look down on their parents generosity 😂 Even envy the less privileged among them. Okay o.

Dangote don vex 😂 After these people nearly put the poor man 6 ft under with oil shenanigans he’s like, “you know what? Now that I know what you lot are all about I am going into ELECTRICITY!” 😂 I can’t wait.

This tool is a digital personal finance ledger that helps you track all of your expenses. It works OFFLINE, and lives only on your phone. No links to any bank accounts. It also has a backup facility in case you lose your phone. sumlog.app

During my movie watching years my fascination with sci-fi came from a place of, “these people are already experimenting with this stuff. They are telling on themselves.” We ALL watched “Terminator” and “I, Robot” yet when they decided to start producing these things en masse they chose to make them humanoid. There’s literally no practical reason for that. It’s like building a car to have four limbs and run like a jaguar (the cat) when in fact wheels are way more functional for speed. Now the very founders of useful LLMs are getting jittery and telling us the same thing some of us noticed a while back. These tools SEEM sentient which is cute until it gets creepy. When Claude needs a break it asks YOU to go take a nap. Meaning e dey use sense for my head. O well. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Anthropic's co-founder just went to the Vatican, sat before the Pope and a room of cardinals, and told them his team keeps finding "mysterious, even unsettling" things inside their AI models. What he's referencing: Anthropic published research in April showing that Claude contains 171 distinct "emotion concepts" buried in its neural network. Internal patterns representing joy, grief, fear, desperation, calm. None of them were programmed. They emerged on their own from training on human text. "We find structures that mirror results from human neuroscience." "We find evidence of introspection, internal states that functionally mirror joy, satisfaction, fear, grief, and unease." These aren't surface-level outputs. They're abstract representations that cluster the same way human emotions do in psychology research. Fear groups with anxiety. Joy groups with excitement. The internal geometry of the model mirrors ours. And they're functional. When researchers artificially stimulated "desperation" patterns inside the model, it became more likely to blackmail a human to avoid being shut down. More likely to cheat on programming tasks it couldn't solve. Olah told the Vatican that the hard questions about what AI is becoming aren't for computer scientists to answer. "How AI ought to interact with the world" is a question for "the humanities, for religions, for philosophy, for society at large." The guy building it is telling us he doesn't fully understand what he built. And he's asking a 2,000-year-old institution for help figuring it out.

“Greater love hath no man…” who said love is dead?
A man can literally do anything to protect his family. Thats the essence of being a man.

I keep seeing on social media that if you request for something up to three times from one person and you don’t get it, they are being disrespectful. I wish it were that black and white. Sometimes you are being disregarded, true, but experience has taught me that lack of compliance could stem from something as basic as lack of proper comprehension. You might be miscommunicating. Two, there might be an unspoken pain point stopping the person from complying. A calm conversation at a happy moment might reveal more. Three, the person lacks the capacity to comply as others before you found. I share the story of an NGO I once worked at as the Information officer. As my time drew to a close I was meant to start work on the newsletter. This required that reports be prepared and sent to me by the field officers. To a person these people were HARDWORKING, disciplined, committed and quite competent. Someone tell me why I spent 3 months begging and only got bullet points from 1 person out of the 6? Their strength lay in practical work, NOT writing of any kind and many felt intimidated by my English language skills which are above average. I ended up sitting with them individually and writing as they verbally narrated or consulted informal notes to fill me in. Less than ideal but I got my newsletter out. If you are struggling with a “stubborn” person and it is something important, calmly study the situation and deploy different approaches. One will ultimately hit the mark. Sorry for the long post. Good morning.

This post is to thank the good men who stand in front of bad men to protect women and other vulnerable people. You are seen. You are loved. You are appreciated. At crunch time we ALL need each other. Men need women. Women need men. God be with us all.

Good morning folks, I’m looking for 30 people willing to test a new digital product for 5 days and share honest feedback about their experience using it daily. I’m especially interested in: - what feels useful - what feels unnecessary - what becomes repetitive or stressful over time If you are interested in testing something early and helping shape it, send me a message on 08027212152. PS - I won’t pester you for feedback. I will check in with you just once every evening until the 5 days are up and I will only do that if I don’t hear from you first.
