1 in 10 MLH community members have already founded a startup. That's double last year. The highest in 7 years. 🚀 The AI-era founder boom is real and it's starting earlier than ever.

Free AI code reviews for OSS projects backed by Gemini? Yes, please! Read about how to get started in this @GoogleAI DEV community post from @nnennahacks and @DanaFine7.
Open-source is strained right now and one of the problems is code review bandwidth. So @DanaFine7 and I partnered with @GoogleAI on how maintainers can use free AI code reviews to keep up with AI-accelerated contribution velocity. With @QodoAI wired into PRs, you get: - Structured findings (bugs, rule violations, gaps, suggestions) - Cross-file, context-aware analysis - Copy/paste agent fix prompts for Claude Code @GeminiApp Code Assist to get your PRs merge-ready. If you run or contribute to an OSS repo on @github, you can turn this on today at no cost. 🙏🏽 dev.to/googleai/superchargin…

Residencies are a thing now. We’ve proven they work. Because of our success at HF0, a bunch of people are now calling things they run residencies. But they’re not. That’s why we are announcing the establishment of an accreditation body: the Accredited Residency Council (ARC)
There’s a new way of company building in the age of AI and @hf0 has found a way to productize it. • On average, teams grow 12% w/w • This batch, three teams broke $10M annualized • Six teams broke $5M

Today is the greatest day in history to become a software creator. @MLHacks @ThePracticalDev is the home developers need to get hands-on-keyboard and thrive
Big news: DEV is joining Major League Hacking. We've watched this community grow from a side project into something millions of developers rely on. The software world is moving faster than ever — and the need for a real, welcoming place to learn together has never been greater. This is the new starting line. Beyond excited for what comes next. dev.to/devteam/a-new-chapter…

1,500 student hackers. One massive hackathon. Let’s go, HackGT! 🚀 I think this may be the biggest in-person hackathon I’ve been to yet with @MLHacks. Everyone has two things on their mind: excitedly vibing to build for Sunday, and what this means for their careers. 🤔 As an industry for at least three years, we’ve been experimenting with building AI… and building with AI. That’s going to continue for a while which is a good thing. But it’s also becoming clear that we very much need devs for the long term. It’s not just typing in lines of code or code gen. Its real craft: building, packaging, and deploying real software that solves real human problems. That craft and problem solving is where we all shine. Keep building. Keep learning. The future of software is ours to shape. 🫡

Every billion dollar founder I know dropped off the face of the earth for years. We built the perfect home for these people. It’s called HF0. In our last batch, teams raising after demo day hit an avg valuation of $82M. Applications for F25 open today.
