Rogue Chairperson of the PIC Board, David Masondo, is cooking up a “whistleblower complaint” and trying to use it as a basis to remove the PIC CEO, Patrick Dlamini, from the institution. The reason is shocking: The CEO has uncovered the truth surrounding Masondo and Acapulco Trade and Invest 164 (Pty) Ltd, a company that wrongfully received over R400 million from the PIC in the controversial Lanseria Airport deal. This is why the sudden “corruption allegations” and “whistleblower complaints” have been launched against CEO Patrick Dlamini. This “whistleblower report” strategy is Masondo’s old playbook. He previously used it to fire the PIC CIO, Kabelo Rikhotso, after a “whistleblower report” alleged wrongdoing against him. Why? Because Rikhotso was raising uncomfortable questions about Masondo’s interference in executive matters and his proximity to Acapulco. If Masondo gets his way and Patrick Dlamini is removed, the PIC is going to be looted VBS-style, right under our watch.

Meet Kagiso Malatji, who is hell bent on a Gupta-Style Capture of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) with his cabal of David Masondo and Kagiso Mabotja. The engineer behind the “Whistleblower report” that is being used to try and dismiss PIC CEO Patrick Dlamini has positioned himself to loot pensions of nurses, teachers, and other public servants at the PIC. Together with David Masondo, Kagiso Matjila is engaged in a smear campaign trying to divert an eminent exposé relating to the R432 million paid to his company Acapulco Trade and Invest 164 (Pty) Ltd The cabal is now character assassinating anybody who knows the truth about their shenanigans. Such vile activities. Sies! #KagisoMatjila #DavidMasondo #KagisoMabotja

South Africans are not interested in boardroom politics. They want assurance that the retirement savings of teachers, nurses and public servants are protected from governance failures and personal agendas. #KagisoMalatji #DavidMasondo
The PIC exists to protect workers’ savings, not to serve factional interests. South Africans deserve answers. #KagisoMatjila #DavidMasondo

A statement is not the same thing as accountability. South Africans still want answers to the questions surrounding the reported R432 million and the processes that led to it. #KagisoMatjila #DavidMasondo

The question remains: are all decisions being taken in the best interests of pensioners and the institution? Transparency is the only way to build public confidence. #KagisoMalatji #DavidMasondo

The conversation must always return to one thing: protecting the interests of public servants whose pensions are invested through the PIC. #KagisoMatjila #DavidMasondo
