12 years old. One of the best things you can develop is better path posture and direction. Head and chest over the plate. Drive the outer half back through the middle. Clean path and direction leads to more barrels. Precision and accuracy. Note: this was a warmup. Then we transitioned to flips and machine work.

It’s a great day for softball. @kinsleyc16 Watching Kinsley Cannode compete this weekend at the Starz Gold Showcase in Richmond, VA. Kinsley is one of our remote trainees and is coming off a sophomore season where she launched 9 home runs while continuing to develop her power, approach, and overall offensive game. Advanced Hitting Academy ⚾ Random fastball/curveball mix from dual machines ⚾ 55 ft release point ⚾ MARV foam baseballs ⚾ HitTrax live game (6 innings) ⚾ Flat bat → Skinny bat → Game bat Every 2 innings athletes switched bats and had to adjust. The game doesn’t give you the same pitch, in the same location, at the same speed over and over again. Constraint training improves barrel awareness. Random pitch training improves swing decisions. Live game environments improve performance under pressure. We’re not trying to win batting practice. We’re building hitters who can compete.
