Decided to debunk #flatearth on my walk this morning. I live in Santa Barbara, California. Which has a beautiful view out to the Channel Islands. I live near a cliff with easy beach access and simply took pictures at the top and bottom of the stairs.

~150ft of elevation vs ~7ft elevation (including my height in both heights
you can just baaaaaarely see the leftmost portion of santa rosa island when standing on the beach but it very quickly becomes visible by increasing your elevation

i am also moving further from the islands at each location, higher elevation is further distance but i'd guess i move less than 200 feet further away so that shouldn't really be impactful, is it possible refractive conditions change around sunset too as the air cools?

can flat earth make up its mind? does nothing ever disappear from the bottom up or does it happen due to perspective?

alright #flatearth folks, what's the explanation for this one? the sun sets south west of me, these mountains are to the north east and yet they remain light for longer than it does down near the beach where i am, shouldn't they get dark first since they are further from the sun?

I'd love to see a diagram showing what is casting a shadow on my but not the mountain which is further (laterally) from the sun than me

I did get these looking out towards the airport but I had to take them from pretty far apart because I couldn't see the point from the top of the stairs
