This is what happens when you label indigenous pollinators “pests” & “bugs.” Literally every single creature was put on this earth with a purpose & the only losers to forget their purpose is the stupid humans. Run by who again? Imagine if there were just males in the world. DEAD
“Apocalyptic” decline in insects is already causing malnutrition, pioneering new research concludes. It’s long past time to take this ignored crisis very seriously indeed. livescience.com/animals/inse…

She should have WAY more follows.
When I head to Washington, I will be the first woman in Congress with a science PhD. That matters. At a time when science is under attack, Congress needs more leaders who understand the value of evidence-based decision-making.

You’re confusing being present with being treated justly. Indigenous people living in Canada does not cancel colonialism; it is literally the result of Canada building itself over Indigenous nations. Please try thinking past bumper-sticker depth.
Replying to @SyilxConnection
Did the evil oppressors kick you out of Canada? No u live here just like everybody else. Also, Lumber/oil/mineral companies are obligated to hire indigenous people first over every other race. Sooo oppressed

Again with the welfare mythology. “Tax free income” isn’t universal, healthcare is public, and Canada has been extracting wealth from Indigenous land for generations. You’re not being robbed. You’re being asked to understand the bill.
Replying to @SyilxConnection
What about tax free income, free access to Healthcare without contributions?

You really thought you cooked with “I did.” Cute. The point is you need my education to be illegitimate so your little welfare fantasy survives. That’s not nuance. That’s resentment in a trench coat. Okay buhbye dung beetle
Replying to @SyilxConnection
I don’t wish? I did. Very articulate nuanced reply. 😂 Intellectual tell.

You people short-circuit when an Indigenous person has credentials, pays taxes, and still tells the truth about colonialism. So you invent “free education” because the welfare script is all you have.
Replying to @SyilxConnection
Oh those evil "colonizers gave you a free education. ...But please cry more about how oppressed you are

“Get off our backs” is rich from people whose entire country was built on Indigenous backs. You don’t have an argument. You have resentment and a Wi-Fi connection. Bahahahahahaha. Be gone dung beetle. No more talking from you
Replying to @SyilxConnection
Get off our backs. You’re still on government money. You’re a welfare bum and obviously have been for years. Get a job.

Settler logic: create the mess with colonialism, underfund the cleanup, complicate the jurisdiction, ignore the trespass, then point at reserve land and say “see?” That isn’t critique. That’s cowardice in screenshot form.

Cute script. I’m a PhD, an Education Advisor, and I paid over $8,000 in business taxes last year. Meanwhile you’re yelling ‘get a job’ from an anonymous account like that’s a political thought. Sit down.”
Replying to @SyilxConnection
Get a job. Pay taxes. Then talk.

“Nobody forces you to live on reserve” he says defending a country that took the territory, confined Indig people to scraps, controlled movement, imposed governance, starved infrastructure & now calls the leftovers “benefits.” That is not choice. That is colonialism with better PR
Replying to @SyilxConnection
You're not forced to live on a reserve dummy. You can live anywhere you want to. U choose to live on the reserve because it's free, and u get substantial government hand out of you do. U have more benefits than all other Canadians yet u cry about stolen land. Shut up
101
This is colonial math. “There weren’t enough of you” is not an argument against Indig territory. It is what people say when they confuse low population density, after disease & displacement with absence. Land does not become empty because settlers fail to understand how we lived
Replying to @SyilxConnection
There were 25,661 on a landmass of 878,927 square kilometres. first nations people now claim it is all their traditional ground. It's arguments like this which are making your entitled demands hated an a rapidly increasing rate.

Posting treaty wording like Canada’s paperwork is neutral truth is adorable. The same state that confined people to reserves, imposed the Indian Act, broke promises, underfunded communities, and extracted the land does not get to be the only narrator of what happened.
Replying to @SyilxConnection
Nobody "stole" your land, you're still living on it tax free moron. Also all the treaties clearly state: FN surrendered and gave up all rights to the land. Stop crying about nonsense and just be Canadian and contribute like everybody else for once.

“Was every inch jam packed?” is such a toddler argument. By that logic, your backyard stops being yours when you go inside. Indigenous territories were lived with through law, movement, ceremony, harvesting, trade, story& responsibility. Land does not have to be crowded to be home
Replying to @SyilxConnection
Yeah, all 95% of BC was jam packed with first nations people at the time of confederation. See the stupidity of your argument. You're the same one who thinks all the infrastructure at the park is a parking lot. You're a biased entitled whiner.

“England was colonized too” is not the rescue boat you think it is. If anything, it proves colonization has consequences across generations. You cannot use England’s history as both evidence colonization matters and an excuse to tell Indigenous people ours does not.
Replying to @SyilxConnection
I'm talking about England. You know, the country that has been colonized more than 5 times in the last 2000 years. Colonization is the history of the world. Yet, here you are whining that you want the luxuries while thinking all the land still belongs to you.

“The park is nobody’s home” is what happens when someone thinks homeland means beige siding and a Costco doormat. Indigenous homelands do not stop being homelands because BC Parks added a parking lot and a bear-safety sign.
Two incredibly stupid arguments back to back. The park is nobody's home. This is a major issue of these endless whiny first nations arguments. It's dumb that first nations people not living on reserves are treated any differently than the rest of Canadians.

Go cry 4 Celtic rights is not the mic drop you think it is.Scotland is still fighting 4 selfdetermination,Ireland knows colonization intimately & Celtic lang were suppressed 2.U accidentally chose an example that proves colonial history does not vanish bcause someone says U lost
Replying to @SyilxConnection
Learn some history. Go cry for Celtic rights. Colonization is over. You lost. Now either quit benefiting from the luxuries Europeans gave you or quit whining.

“You can’t have it both ways” says the man trying to count every European invention as generosity while deleting every colonial crime from the invoice. Sir, that is not history. That is colonization with selective memory and a customer-service voice. Go to bed kid
Replying to @SyilxConnection
The sooner this nonsense ends once and for all the better this country will be. You're literally benefiting from everything Europeans brought you while your victimhood mind paints rose coloured images of bygone times. You can't have it both ways.

Apparently “rage bait” now means making a point they can’t answer without misspelling residential. Bahahahahahahahaha
Replying to @SyilxConnection
One can own commercial or reaidential property in BC. One cannot own mountains or lakes. Your rage bait falls flat.

Colonial logic is so basic: “We brought technology, so be grateful.” That is not history. That is a robber bragging about leaving a toaster in the house he stole. Indigenous peoples were not waiting around for Europeans to invent knowledge, law, science, or relationship to land.
Replying to @SyilxConnection
FN have been "gifted" thousands of years of knowledge and technology from the "colonizers." 200 years ago FN hadn't even invented the wheel yet, hadn't even invented the written word yet, no clue of math. And now you cry on your smart phone about stolen land. Give me a break
