يسرّ البرنامج السوري للتطوير القانوني (SLDP) المشاركة في ورشة مناهضة التعذيب، ويُرحّب بالخطوات الإيجابية منذ سقوط نظام الأسد. ويؤكد أن الامتثال للاتفاقية يتطلب إصلاحات مؤسسية وتشريعية ومساءلة فعّالة عن جميع جرائم التعذيب، وضمان حقوق الضحايا في العدالة وجبر الضرر.
عقدت إدارة المنظمات والمؤتمرات الدولية في وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين في مقر الوزارة بدمشق ورشة حوار مع روابط الضحايا ومنظمات المجتمع المدني السورية حول مراجعة وتطوير مشروع الاستراتيجية الوطنية الشاملة للجمهورية العربية السورية لمناهضة التعذيب والوقاية منه.
