Iraqi Kurdistan/Bashuri Kurdistan is here to stay, and any Sunni Arab Bigot or Turkish Bigot who wishes for its dissolution through a Turkish invasion of Hewler and Slemani that ends its autonomous status can burn in hell. Iraqi Constitution recognizes the Autonomous status of Bashuri Kurdistan, and Turkey wouldn't know what has hit them if they attempt to invade Hewler and Slemani.

Another day in Suwayda: a member of Hijri’s National Guard was filmed driving a Mercedes CLS 63 that, according to an investigation by Suwayda 24 was taken after being rented from a Damascus-based car dealer using a forged ID and never returned. The owner says he later identified it in Suwayda and filed a theft report.

سيارة مسروقة تظهر في فيديو لقيادي في المكتب الأمني بالسويداء
رصدت السويداء 24 فيديو متداولاً خلال الأيام الماضية يظهر القيادي مهند مزهر في المكتب الأمني بالحرس الوطني (التابع لحكمت الهجري ونجله سلمان الهجري)، وهو يقود سيارة من طراز مرسيدس CLS 63 ويتفحط بها في شوارع مدينة السويداء.
وبحسب تحقيق أجرته الشبكة، تبيّن أن السيارة مسروقة. حيث أكد مالكها الأصلي، وهو تاجر سيارات في دمشق، أن شخصاً يحمل بطاقة هوية مزورة ادّعى أنه من صيدنايا بريف دمشق، استأجر السيارة خلال شهر رمضان الماضي لمدة قصيرة.
وبعد انتهاء المدة المتفق عليها، لم يعد السيارة، ما دفع المالك إلى تقديم بلاغ رسمي بالسرقة.
وبعد أيام قليلة، تلقى المالك اتصالاً من شخص في مدينة شهبا بريف السويداء، أبلغه بأن السيارة بحوزة شخص يدعى ربيع الخطيب ويتبع ربيع للحرس الوطني ايضا، وطلب مبلغ 10 آلاف دولار أمريكي مقابل إعادتها، علماً أن قيمة السيارة السوقية تتراوح بين 25 و30 ألف دولار.
ومنذ ثلاثة أيام، نشر مهند مزهر فيديو على صفحتيه الشخصيتين في فيسبوك وإنستغرام يستعرض فيه قيادته للسيارة.
فقام مالك السيارة بالتعليق عليه قائلاً: “هذه سيارتي المسروقة من دمشق”، ليقوم مزهر فوراً بحذف التعليق وحظر صاحب السيارة.
وناشد مالك السيارة، عبر السويداء 24، وجهاء ورجال الدين في محافظة السويداء بالتدخل للضغط على كل من مهند مزهر وربيع الخطيب لإعادة السيارة.
وعلّق عدد من أهالي السويداء على الفيديو، معتبرين أن مهند مزهر كان متورطاً في قضية تهريب ثلاثة محتجزين لدى الحرس الوطني وتسليمهم للحكومة السورية مقابل مبلغ مالي، وأن السيارة تم شراؤها من هذه الأموال.

Is Syria safe? This is a question I get asked a lot by colleagues when they hear that I went on vacation to Syria. They are always quite surprised by my answer.
Yes, the country is generally very safe in many areas. I have been to the cities of Hama, Homs, Aleppo, and Damascus, and I never experienced any issues. Even at the few highway checkpoints, they almost never stop you.
More importantly, nobody is being imprisoned, tortured, or killed anymore for criticizing the government.

This is a typical example of how some of those who once claimed to support the revolution are now openly betraying it. Firas reported that a man was killed merely for being Alawite. In reality, the 'victim' was a former regime militiaman. Although that in no way justifies a summary execution, omitting such a significant detail creates a misleading impression and serves to reinforce the narrative that a sectarian war is ongoing against Alawites.

It was a personal promise by Al-Shara'a to Mazlum Abdi that all IDPs will return safely and reclaim their properties

Selling goods and services in currencies other than the Syrian pound should be prohibited in Syria. I still see too many vendors displaying prices in Turkish lira or USD. Come on—the Assad regime has been gone for a year and a half. This is a matter of patriotism.

There couldn't have been a greater humiliation for him than what happened to his mausoleum. Despite 50 years of control and propaganda, people hated him so much that they burned his tomb and urinated on it. This has desacralized the Assad family for eternity.

Today is the 26th anniversary of Hafez Assad's death.
He was buried in a Mausoleum in Qerdaha - and cremated in December 2024.

I've recently seen @the_amargi, a news outlet, pop up in my timeline regarding Syrian topics. After taking a quick look, it's noticeable how biased they are, primarily promoting leftists, members of minority groups, and people who oppose the Syrian government.

I haven't followed the dispute between Moussa Omar and Hassan Akkad closely, so I can't comment on the specifics. More generally, though, when individuals with significant resources and connections operate within an outdated judicial framework, there is a risk of abuse. Once the new parliament begins its work, it should consider reviewing and updating these laws.

I can't help but feel sad when I see the Afamia Hotel in Hama. Behind the bridge once stood the historic Kelanyia neighborhood. It was completely destroyed during the Hama massacre in 1982. The hotel was later built over the graves of thousands of people. Do you think it should be demolished and the area rebuilt?

Many people don't know this, but the first Azm Palace was built in Hama in 1742 by the Ottoman governor As'ad Pasha al-Azm as his residence. The more famous Damascus Azm Palace was constructed a few years later. The Hama palace has beautiful architecture and is well worth a visit

Can we stop with this push for Syria to invade Lebanon to fight Hizballah - it won’t end well for anyone.
Can people actually learn historical lessons. This is a bizarro version of Hafez invading Lebanon, which supercharged the Lebanese civil war.
‼️Breaking : Trump: I’d like Israel to have surgical attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon. We can help them with that or we can let Syria do that .
