Alexis Bertholf (@digitalbyte_) is up to bring it home with how we Make Network Engineering Cool Again. But I don't know when it stopped! I guess I'm about to find out. #CHINOG12

Amer Fahar and Mohammad Zaman from @Nokia are up next, giving us a ContainerLab. 2 part hands on session too! Looking forward to it. Let's build something. #CHINOG12

Now, John Howe (@VirtJunkie) is going to run through creation of a modern, fully integrated network automation pipeline that starts with a service request in Jira Service Management and ends with a verified configuration pushed to a Palo Alto firewall #CHINOG12

An interesting observation from #CHINOG12. The automation topics are a hair more advanced than I'm accustomed to seeing at events like this. A full blown functional pipeline is a step up from changing NTP servers using Ansible. github.com/myriad-360/chi-no…

Alright, this is a pretty relatable workflow. Very interested to see how this is all stitched together. #CHINOG12

Time to kick off the afternoon tracks! I'll be on the B side, hanging with the rest of the automators. @bewing03 bringing us into Ansible Network Resource Modules. #CHINOG12

Great career conversation with Petr Lapukhov (@petrlapu), Sergey Kolobov, Dane Jackson, Tom Kacprzynski (@tomkac_net), and Alexis Bertholf (@digitalbyte_) #CHINOG12

Q: What skills are lacking among network engineers? A: Automation. Troubleshooting. Cross domain understanding. Communication. My own input? Story telling skills. Soft skills. #CHINOG12

Time for a career panel. "Routing Your Career: Expert Insights" - If you want to be a VXLAN expert, that job exists. If you want to be a generalist? That job exists too. #CHINOG12

I love this concept out of @damgarros' presentation. Your default option should be safe. The ansible example is a great example of this. What a way to shoot your network in the foot! #CHINOG12

I -really- like @damgarros using DHCP as an example of idempotency. It's a great way to illustrate the importance with a technology engineers are already familiar with. #CHINOG12

Time to tune in to @damgarros from Opsmill. Focusing on how we can build trustworthy network automation, from principles to practice. #CHINOG12

The dark purple lines are showing off when the world started to sanction Russia. More specifically, Russian media. Dataplane was able to see that (large purple lines) from multiple global POPs. #CHINOG12

Time to learn about what dataplane.org observes from its global network of sensors with John Kristoff (infosec.exchange/@jtk) #CHINOG12

Wait... fiber that doesn't contain a solid core? That's a new one to me. I guess when latency is king, you do whatever you can to save it. #CHINOG12

Next up is @jfilliben talking about the speed of data when it comes to high frequency trading. I wonder if there are any commonalities, or lessons learned, with this and networks for AI workloads. #CHINOG12

Listening to @petrlapu walk through a history of networks for AI workloads. This slide stuck out. I'm still in awe over how we've connected the GPU workloads to their own network. Never would have imagined that leap when I was focused on GPUs for Quake 25 years ago #CHINOG12
