The impact of women in defense tech is growing rapidly, and so is the number of roles. Last Saturday, Odd Systems and The Fourth Law were partners at Women Career Day by @happymonday_ua👇
"If you're unsure whether to pursue a career in defense, just ask yourself: why? If the answer is to save lives and build something meaningful, you'll make it work."
At Odd Systems, women contribute across every function: from hardware engineering and manufacturing to logistics and sales.

Technological sovereignty is more than a slogan. It's a sensor and a camera developed in Ukraine from start to finish. "Defense" spoke with Ukrainian camera manufacturers about launching domestic production and reducing dependence on Chinese components.
"A modern camera is not just components — it's engineering work. Taking this into account, the share of added value created in Ukraine exceeds half the cost of the systems." — Andrii Taganskyi, Director of Camera Business at Odd Systems.
"Europe currently produces fewer than 500,000 sensors per year. Ukraine consumes that number in 5 months. They are nearly impossible to buy — because Europeans need them too." — Yaroslav Azhnyuk, co-founder of Odd Systems.

"A universal camera for war is like Nike sneakers on the battlefield. Great product — wrong mission." Andrii Taganskyi, Director of Camera Business Unit at Odd Systems, joins Resilience Media to discuss why military cameras need to be mission-specific. 👇
From ridesharing, streaming, and pet cameras — to optics built for combat missions. What makes military cameras different from civilian ones, and where the industry is headed.
Odd Systems is heading to @cogeseurosatory 2026.

Find us at the joint Ukrainian stand organized by IRON Cluster and let's talk sensors and the future of DefTech.
Just a couple of years ago, defense tech was a niche topic. Today it's one of the hottest areas at Ukraine's largest tech conference.
To everyone at DOU Day 2026 — we were happy to be part of it! Here's a quick recap 👇
Join us in building solutions that defeat the enemy and save lives.
DefTech is not a temporary story, it's an industry that will keep growing over the next 10–20 years, and the role of engineers in it will only increase.
Odd Systems introduces the first daylight tactical camera — Svitlych-662!
Svitlych-662 is a full-color digital camera designed for small UAVs, ground robotic platforms, and stationary observation points.
Odd Systems, along with its sister company The Fourth Law, continues the tradition of naming its products after Ukrainian intellectuals of the “Executed Renaissance” and the “Sixtiers,” repressed by the Soviet regime.
The new camera is named after Ivan Svitlychnyi — an outstanding poet, dissident, and leader of the Sixtiers movement, who endured labor camps for his pro-Ukrainian stance.
Working for victory!
