Thinking of switching to a commercial Automated Insulin Delivery system for my #type1diabetes after 7 years of open source #DIYAPS so figured I would take stock of some of the helpful features I will miss. This is just the tip of the iceberg. myartificialpancreas.net/202…

As people with #diabetes we are often given best practice guidelines to follow, but how much do we know about how people actually use their diabetes devices? I was fascinated by the vast trove of device data presented at #ATTD2024 and what it tells us. myartificialpancreas.net/202…

This post includes info on: - What happens when people don't bolus for a week? - How the BG target people set in OP5 varies by age - How people use the SILENCE All feature of Dexcom G7 - What happens using an AID system when people bolus after a meal, before it or when they eat?

Thanks @staceysimms @DiabetesCxns for the chance to talk about netIOB, the goal of improving glucose outcomes for exercise (regardless of type of activity) with diabetes, & the impact it has when people share their diabetes data for research! Listen here: bit.ly/DC1_631

I've found the cellular/immune therapy/islet & stem cell sessions fascinating at #ATTD2024 (virtual) but I've got to say, after 44 yrs of living with #type1diabetes this session really puts a lump in my throat. It's probably grief & not wanting to get hopes up for all🙏5 years?

"SILENCE ALL" 🤫Being able to customise & silence alarms on cgm is critical to my quality of life, ability to work etc as is ability to customise AID for no audible alarms, so I was drawn to Dexcom's presentation on the "Silence All" feature of the G7 @ATTDconf #ATT20#DOC
