Lumines Arise, which I directed, released this week, and it's been amazing to see the positive reception.I remember drawing the first concept art for it just after Tetris Effect was released back in 2019. It's hard to believe that was 6 years ago… Even though concepting started then, development didn't actually start until a few years after that, so it took a long, long time for it to finally release. This release got me thinking, as I’ve been making "synesthesia" games for 20 years now. As both a director and an artist, I have created so many different experiences and world settings. Looking back at them, I feel like all of the titles share a deep emotional connection, and they were all made with just as much passion as Lumines Arise. If you enjoyed Lumines Arise or liked its world setting, I'd be thrilled if you'd give Rez Infinite, Tetris Effect, and our other titles a try.
