Instead of getting promos of cards that no one ever plays, WOTC should go back into cool shit like Dragon deck pouches, and PTQ qualifier pins (really, this is just a lame old magic person flex. Also letβs just go back to the PTQ system!! π)
While on a recent trip home to Australia, found my old collection of almost every Duelist Magazine, along with a bunch of Duelist Sideboard (the OP mini magazine), along with a few other goodies. Kids these days donβt know how hard it was to get information back then π΄
Let's not get ahead of ourselves with more formats, and just run more events with the only format that has gotten over 1k players EVERY TIME. #limited4life
I think one of Magic's greatest strengths is the variety of ways it can be played, but we've seen Standard over and over for RCQs and Spotlights (with a little Modern or Limited as a treat). When can we expect other formats, such as Pioneer, Pauper, and Legacy, receive support?
I'm Head of R&D for a mobile gaming studio and one of my projects, "FruitFall!", is at a crucial stage, and I'd love if you tried it! Its available on the iOS app store. It will appeal to puzzle game or Suika (Watermelon) Game fans, I hope you'll enjoy it! apps.apple.com/us/app/fruitfβ¦
Totally agree with @fireshoes - while some homogeneity is inherent with online decklist dumps, it neglects to understand the utility to the community and content creation. Also contributing is the lack of GP level events - they used to help drive innovation and metagaming.

Oh no, the tabletop meta might be different! It didn't account for Larry's Unicorn deck at the RCQ! Oh, you mean the online results, because people change decks to play what they think is best? How dare they!
MTG has lost the GOAT, and the game will forever miss his prescence.
But for me, I lost a friend.
He helped achieve my greatest triumphs, but ultimately, he wouldn't care if I was any good at the game - he treated all with respect if you deserved it.
Rest in peace, my friend.
We are deeply saddened at the news of the passing of Magic legend Kai Budde. His achievements in the game and community go beyond what we could say in one post. Our thoughts go out to Kai's friends and family in this moment.

Hey all, did a fun interview podcast about many things (including Magic, game design, economic theory) with former MTG designer Brian Schneider. Check it out!

Iβve recalled a lot of my favorite memories of Kai before, but heβs also a loyal friend.
Drafting the top table to make my first PT top 8, and he saw @rhoaen hate draft Bane of the Living from me, and even though he was Richβs good friend, he still gave him the bird for me. GOAT
Yesterday @Huschenmtg and I visited @kaibudde, who is unfortunately battling the only opponent he cannot defeat. He is still thinking about Magic and enjoys the stories and kind words people are posting about him.
He had some old packs he wanted to give to the community, so whether you know him personally or as a fan, we welcome everyone to share your memories and stories with him below and we will pick some of you to send those packs to β€οΈ
Iβm sure there was a hate draft, but I was mistaken about the card. I was UR wizards, and you took a Starstorm. I was playing ball by giving you thw Bane :)
I just killed my opponent in a draft when they played a Koh, and I responded with a Secret of Bloodbending, which, once they realized what was going to happen, had them concede immediately. Classic Mythic on mythic battle. #MTGxATLA
Is anyone local-ish to Liverpool (or I guess coming in later), that either has a random Final Fantasy uncommon Phantom Train that I could buy/borrow from them for the event this weekend?
What would be the best deck in standard if the βat least 4 non-basic cards from each legal expansionβ rule was in play? Iβve always had a soft spot for the PT1 rule, and I wish variations would be used more (I understand why not from an audience perspective)
Andor S2 goes so hard in terms of world building, tone, and set & character design, I have no idea how this got greenlit by the same organization that did Rise of Skywalker (or pretty much anything recent SW-related). I hope they get the signals to continue this direction.
Not sure why this is a question, but I guess that the outcome could be different if the humans were Benalish Heroes and they were attacking or blocking in a Band
