We have to stop telling student and qualified paramedics to cover their arse or get struck off. Isolated error in an otherwise competent and caring professional is not a disciplinary or FTP matter. Most errors are system driven and the threats of blame are harmful and outmoded.

So not content with one exercise..... we thought we would do two in one week. Today we’re training the Scarborough site. One week, two sites, two excercises, 200 staff, 100 facilitators #LIVEX18 2 Med Bde AMSTC have been fantastic. What a week @YorkTeachingNHS @mdhindmarsh

You can have all the randomised control trials in the world, but working out how you maintain ability to apply them under serious pressure is really interesting.

Delighted to read @The_HCPC #Education&TrainingCommittee yesterday proposed change of threshold for paramedics to register to be BSc.... programmes below this level will be withdrawn from Sept 2021. Brilliant to see over 1000 responses 82% were supportive of change 70% to BSc 😊
