Dr. Jana Gevertz received the Society of Mathematical Biology’s Distinguished Service Award. This award honors service in the field of mathematical biology, service for the Society of Mathematical Biology, and contributions beyond achievements in research. Congratulations!

Dr. Matt Mizuhara received an NSF grant to fund his research on self-similarity on dynamical networks. Self-similarity manifests in real-world networks in multiple ways, from the the Internet, dendritic trees of neurons, and social and epidemiological networks. Congratulations!
