So regarding the "self-pub is worthless unless you're the lucky few" discourse.
Yeah... No.
Does self-pub result in any more "success stories" than traditional publishing? I don't know. Maybe not.
But self-pub offers a LOT that I think some authors aren't considering. (1/15)

Update: I executed a perfect little maneuver known as chasing the centipede into the corner with the vacuum hose while spraying hairspray blindly and frantically.
It worked. Vacuum was immediately emptied into the trash. Trash was immediately brought out.
