This world-class dinosaur skeleton of an Allosaurus fragilis is on display, and its skull is believed to be one of the best-preserved Allosaurus skulls ever discovered. Dubbed Ebenezer (“stone of help” in 1 Samuel 7:12), this spectacular allosaur fossil is surrounded by important teaching points about dinosaurs. A monitor displays which parts of Ebenezer are genuine fossils and which sections were fabricated. An allosaur was a large theropod dinosaur. The museum’s dinosaur probably stood 10 feet high and was 30 feet long. It is one of a number of Allosaurus fossils uncovered in the Morrison Formation of North America. Amazingly, more than half its bones were recovered — the skull even has 53 teeth still in place. Ken Ham stated that this skeleton “fulfills a dream I’ve had for quite some time. For decades I’ve walked through many leading secular museums, like the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., and have seen their impressive dinosaur skeletons, but they were used for evolution. Now we have one of that class for our museum.”
