Today, I’m celebrating my wife, Liz, a wonderful mother to our two daughters, and remembering my mom, who we recently lost. If there’s anything I’ve learned after saying goodbye to my mom, it’s that you should shower the moms in your life in love every day — don’t wait for a holiday to show your appreciation, they deserve all the flowers for everything they do! ❤️🤟

We are truly blessed from the outpouring of support following the loss of my mom, Guadalupe Martinez Fischer. Thank you to our friends, family, and colleagues who have taken the time to share their condolences and honor our mother. While this loss is heavy, we’ve been so lucky to have had a great adventure with her since her diagnosis seventeen years ago: we are so grateful to her team of providers that have taken such amazing care of her.
I’ve always been a mama’s boy, and my past two decades in office hasn’t changed that. My mom was my first campaign manager ever, even ran for precinct chair later — this mailer is evidence of her commitment and constant involvement. Mom was always easy to find: she was always with her children and grandchildren, living and learning on new adventures. We will miss her greatly.
