Repeat after me: LAB WEBSITES MATTER! While it may seem like a nice-to-have... in today's world, it's a need-to-have. For you, your trainees, and your prospective team members. I couldn't have written this better myself: nature.com/articles/s42255-0…

Huge congrats to ARIA advisor @demishassabis. Breaking through the barrier of winning a nobel outside academia is rare, but this may be the first case in history of the award going to an entrepreneur whose nobel work was done in the company they founded. Hopefully first of many!
BREAKING NEWS The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the 2024 #NobelPrize in Chemistry with one half to David Baker “for computational protein design” and the other half jointly to Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper “for protein structure prediction.”

NEW: Mount Everest isn't just the world's tallest mountain; it's freakishly tall, towering above its neighbouring peaks. But why? It turns out that a river has washed away so much rock that the mountain is 'floating' higher on the mantle! Me @NYTScience nytimes.com/2024/09/30/scien…

NEW: Gold is found as big nuggets in quartz veins—and we have never known why. Now we have a shocking answer: electricity, made by earthquakes shaking quartz, is gathering particles of gold and growing them into shiny nuggets. Earth is wild. Me @NatGeo nationalgeographic.com/scien…
