Meet Kimberlie Mateo! She started her career in Alief ISD and currently teaches English I. She is the Assistant Swim Coach and sponsors the Poetry & Gamers’ Club. She loves shaping the young minds of tomorrow and is an advocate of inquiry promoting a growth mindset.

Meet Harvey Baker! For 23 years, he has dedicated his career to teaching English at the elementary and high school levels. He has served as English Department Chair and as the boys’ basketball coach for 16 seasons.
He believes that the role of an educator is to help students recognize their strengths so they can make a positive difference in the community as “their destiny is in their own hands.”
