The association has found many cockroaches (unqualified/ineligible) in the on-going Writ Petitions particularly in the one filed by a major group backed by NMMTA. These old, crooked cockroaches while infesting the Medical Education have taken away the identity, legitimate rights and opportunities of 1000s of MSc Medical Postgraduates for generations and caused serious damage to the Nation. The association will be taking necessary action in this regard. Each and every cockroach will be exposed, and action will be taken against each one, one by one, and against all.

Please read this letter by UGC. It’s very unfortunate that people seeing part-time PhDs as fake while the fake ones are those who are fraudulently buying PhDs over night without the knowledge of their parent institution where they are employed.

Any rule that takes away the legitimate rights and opportunities of non-MBBS Medical Postgraduate Medical Teachers and that grossly violates the law of the Nation cannot be implemented anytime any manner. As long as MSc Medical PG courses exist in Medical Colleges TMMA never accepts discriminatory and derogatory rules that severely affect the future of these graduates. Part-time PhD is legal and one’s legitimate right. They always advocated for prospective application of rules though it denied the rights of the students of MSc Medical PG and brought many such court orders such as for examiner appointments and requirement of PhD for Demonstrator etc. Not a surprise if they get one more court order for implementation of the rules of on campus PhD prospectively from 2022. After all, they have nothing to lose at the expense of Medical Postgraduates.

This notorious group must be stopped from (mis)representing the MSc Medical Postgraduates by abusing the system. They keep advocating for prospective rules that take away the legitimate rights and opportunities of MSc Medical Postgraduates. Part Time PhD is not illegal.

Every Morning I wake up to see 10s of these updates on my LinkedIn feed. Overnight people from far away states claiming to have completed PhD from far away universities. The reason that made NMC do not want to believe part time PhDs.

It’s unlawful and unconstitutional to deny and to discriminate MSc Medical Postgraduates their legitimate rights and opportunities by the illogical and mindless regulations and rules of National Medical Commission. This is a direct result of being silent on fraud in Medical PhD awards and silently encouraging such practices. For our Complaint made with NMC regarding illegal appointment of an unqualified individual enjoying as Prof and Head at a Medical College in West Bengal, NMC directed the college to take necessary action. Irony is: 1. The Person against whom the complaint is made is now no more & 2. Even MLT degree is awarded under health university. It cant become a medical degree just because of having medical in its name and awarded under health university. You without having any medical qualifications are continuing as medical teacher and questioning my appointment?

The association stands by each and every word that is said in its post. The association never made any false accusations or claims about anything in medical education and with regard to research in medical education particularly with regard to medical PhD without any knowledge or evidence. The association only raised serious concerns and never said there are definitely more than 20000 fraud or fake theses but only said there ‘may be’ such high numbers considering the fact that there are certain institutions/ universities even those that once came under CBI scanner are continuing to award the PhD degrees in Healthcare in huge numbers as on today. Similar to the River Ganga, Shodhganga that's named after the sacred Ganga River, is polluted extraordinarily with fake and fraudulent research theses because of the corrupt and selfish human beings in the academics and the incompetent in the regulatory system. There may be more than 20,000 fraud and fake research theses of Medical PhDs alone in this reservoir. And certain infamous institutions are contributing to 100s of fake research theses every day making shodhganga a reservoir of pollutants. For now, the only way Shodhganga has been useful to TMMA is to identify the fraudsters who acquired PhDs fraudulently with fake research thesis and or forged and fabricated documentation.
