We are all social animals and one of our core needs is human connection. I guess the question is, is this the right thing to do for our humanity? IMHO the answer is no? Creating a more isolated society has much more dire consequences.

Yup! Which should provide the more ubiquitous new world co’s more moat reinforcement.
The at what scale question is the tricky part. It’s so different for everyone based on personal habits and values Eg. I’m a social animal so will always need human 2 human energy to survive.
