Today we celebrate 230 years of Tennessee statehood and the proud legacy of the Volunteer State. Since 1796, Tennesseans have helped shape our nation through service and innovation.

Last night, Chief of Staff Les Dolente spoke to participants at American Legion Boys State about the importance of service, sacrifice, and civic duty.
Dolente encouraged these young men to stay involved, serve their communities, and remember what strong leadership is built on.
On Wednesday, May 27, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) joined Warren County leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the county's official transition to the Tennessee Advanced Communications Network (TACN).
Warren County is officially stepping into the future of public safety.

We are aware of multiple reports of potential threats at schools across the state. Law enforcement, including @TNHighwayPatrol and state Office of Homeland Security agents, are responding to each location out of an abundance of caution. These calls are believed to be hoaxes.

Gov. Lee visited the TN Dept. of Safety & Homeland Security today to meet with division leaders and review key achievements resulting from state investments in public safety.
Later, the Governor toured the department and thanked staff for their dedication to securing the state.
TACN aided multiple county, state and federal law enforcement agencies by deploying a Cellular Rapid Deployable (CRD) at the temporary command post to provide cell service as authorities searched for a jail escapee from Crockett County.
