1) Call the next game... Final Fantasy. The numbers have become a barrier to entry for new fans. 2) Make Natsuko Ishikawa (Shadowbringers / Endwalker) the lead writer. She's Square's best writer. 3) Most importantly... make it a back-to-basics turn based RPG. People WANT that.

Switch 2 Game-Keys Cards are empty cartridges. You will still have to download the games from their service. You have to authenticate it online initially, and can ONLY play as long as the card is inserted. This is a BS anti-consumer move. I'm boycotting Switch 2 on this alone.

Sega, in a a rather uncharacteristic decision, will be delisting the Mega Drive / Genesis Classic collection. This collection has been on sale for like 14 years, and has over 50 Mega Drive games included in it. Why the heck would they decide to remove it NOW..?

BREAKING: Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has confirmed the Switch 2 will be backwardly compatible with the current Switch's library of games! This was a dealbreaker for a day one purchase for me, so this is great. Will this convince you to pick up the Switch 2 at launch?

A Hogwarts Legacy sequel has been greenlit and is now in active development. I urge you to get your faux outrage, petitions and boycotts out of the way now, cause this will inevitably end up being the best selling game of 2030. The first game will also get story DLC next year.

I've been struggling to find the right word to describe exactly what my issue with Dragon Age: Veilguard's writing is. I figured it out. It INFANTILIZES the player. It treats them as less than even a child, unable to comprehend basic narrative beats or solve mindless puzzles.
