Mr More Housing votes against all proposed shelters. Note that earlier in this meeting, he had to declare a conflict of interest because his wife works for a developer.

And the shelter item as amended CARRIES 22-3. All six sites will go forward.

Delaying, deferring, once again. Stopping shelters across the city-- for who? Who is contacting him about this? We call bullshit. This man is playing political games with people's lives.

Here's the text of Bradford's motion re: the Sixth Street shelter. Councillor Morley asks Bradford what his "interest" is in this shelter, given it's in her ward. Bradford says he "heard from a lot of people" about this particular site.

We hope council votes to reject this half-baked motion from a Councillor who represents a ward far outside the scope of planned RapidTO lanes on Bathurst and Dufferin Streets.

Councillor Brad Bradford moves to make the RapidTO lanes on Bathurst & Dufferin temporary, expiring July 31, 2026.

Journalism is a precarious, poorly paid profession but you learn every day and that can include how lucky you are. Yesterday I covered Mayor Chow's visit to 500 Dawes Rd., an apartment building notorious for pests, mould and various malfunctions. Chow met 3 tenants ...

Bradford wants priority bus lanes for FIFA attendees, but not for the people who use these buses year round. Maybe he's going after the soccer fan demographic? Double his 1% vote count in the next mayoral race?

TCCC?
Why is Brad Bradford teaming up with far-right conservatives like Anthony Furey and Roman Baber to oppose real solutions to some of our biggest challenges? šŸ¤” Today, July 15, Bradford is holding a press conference to block shelters, rapid transit, affordable housing, and more ā¤µļø

Can we take a crumb off the police budget so people can sit in a park and watch a movie please?
NEW: @TOpictureshow says financial future of city-wide outdoor film fest, now in 14th year, at serious risk. ā€œWe don’t want to join the chorus of arts organizations sounding the alarm about funding, but it’s by far the absolute worst it has ever been.ā€ theglobeandmail.com/arts/fil…

As I and hundreds of thousands sit in the dark, I am reflecting on how great it is that Toronto spends $2.3 billion on police services and not on suring up our aging infrastructure that crumbles under rain.

Amidst the intensified criminalization, targeting, and dehumanization of all our communities in Toronto that continue to advocate for justice, we must also necessarily be reminded of the reality of who creates, or eradicates notions of "safety." #CareNotCops #CarelessCops #TOpoli

My statement opposing the proposed Member’s Motion, ā€œRequesting the Province to Create Safety Zones Around Places of Worship, Faith-Based Schools and Vulnerable Community Social Infrastructureā€. It’s neither constitutional nor actually contributes to community safety.

1/2 Some people are more upset by protests against genocide than by *actual* genocide. This Thursday, Brad Bradford is putting forward a motion to limit our right to protest and to further criminalize dissent. Very on brand for him, very bad for us.
