Remember that nobody cares less about college football and more about money than the people in control of college football.

Guys like Sankey and Petiti would rather blow up college football entirely than make an agreement that is best for the sport, rather than just the three letter latches on their football jerseys. All because they would make a few less bucks

This would be great for G6 schools. The P4 comes through decimating rosters every year. G6 would become much more stable and competitive with transfer limits

Rutgers is the only P4 school that is not listed here β€” meaning they did not make postseason play for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball or women’s volleyball. Yet they rake in millions for simply existing in the Big Ten. When the inevitable P4/G6 split happens, Rutgers will be protected. That is insane.

Here’s a table of the number of teams each school got into a bowl or the NCAA Tournament in each of these 6 sports:

Great read. A 24 team bracket is just utterly unacceptable without increased G6 representation.
A 24-team CFP is the AI of CFB: We didn't ask for it, and we're told it's inevitable despite huge unknowns. I wrote about the impact of expansion and ditching conference title games. We don't have to do this! Four rounds and Flex Weeks: the way forward. espn.com/college-football/st…

This is not a pro expansion post. It is a "You can't expand and then say g6 doesn't belong when p4 teams are losing just as bad or worse against the teams that are actually capable of winning the whole thing" post

Of course it is. I’m also amused by those who think 24 means more G6 teams would get in. Seriously? The bracket would be filled out with 8-4 teams that won their three buy games and went 5-4 in conference. Hard pass.
