There are no words to truly describe the grief and sadness our members-the entire policing community have experienced this week. We are thinking of Constable Marc Pinizzotto, his family, his friends, & everyone whose lives have been forever changed by this loss. #herosinlife ππ€
It is with deep and profound sorrow that we announce and mourn the loss of PC Marc Pinizzotto, 43, of our Emergency Task Force, killed in the line of duty today.
Marc devoted 18 years to serving the people of Toronto, including 5 years with ETF. He was a courageous officer, a respected colleague, and a man who put others before himself.
Today, a police family has lost their loved one, and our Service has lost a brother. The grief is immeasurable.
Our hearts are with Marcβs family, his loved ones, and his ETF teammates. Our members will stand with them, now and always.
A hero in life.

On behalf of the members of the Toronto Police Service, I extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali for their tragic loss.
We mourn alongside our policing partners across Ontario and will remember Officer Bali who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
It is with deep sorrow that I confirm that #OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali was killed in the line of duty this afternoon in Hearst. Itβs with heavy hearts we share the news of the passing of our resident mouser Harold - she was deeply loved by all of us and the barn wonβt be the same without her.
Congratulations to our TPS members on this great honour and for the professionalism and leadership you demonstrate everyday. Thank you to @OWLECanada for recognizing the amazing contributions women are making in policing across the province.
The #VPD is saying goodbye to Police Service Dog Cash today, who was diagnosed with a fatal condition earlier this week. Our thoughts are with his handler, Constable Courtney Srigley, and the entire @VPDCanine Unit, as they navigate this loss.
Cash was a six-year-old black and tan German Shepherd from the Netherlands. He served the citizens of Vancouver for over five years with unwavering dedication and heart.
He will be missed.

In the video Merseyside Police horse Owen clearly likes scratches and insists on having more when our student stops. If a 950kg Police Officer tells you to do something, it is probably a good idea to comply!
