MLB UNDER ⬇️📈 1u: Eric Lauer u15.5 outs 100 (DK) Reading between lines here as Lauer’s ER line is favored on the over while the books have given him a 5.5 HA line while allowing only 12 hits combined in his first 3 as a dodger. There's not much expectation for Laurer being the 6th man in this rotation so he'll likely won't have much leash IMO. He lacks deception and overall stuff to keep the Rays off balance. He’s gotten lucky so far as a Dodger and has also had some inferior matchups against Pirates, d-backs, and Rockies. The Rays discipline is far more advanced than the aforementioned teams and can work counts even if they're not efficient at times. Lauer is also due a pullback after some out of the norm games. MLB UNDER ⬇️📈 1u: Sandy Alcantara u6.5 HA -118 (CZR) Alcantara has had a string of games where he’s allowed to go over this line in 3 straight. Those matchups include the Rays, Braves, and Blue Jays. Respectfully, the Nats are doing better these days but can be a bit streaky when putting the ball in play vs righties (Recent trends have them decreasing splits too). Alcantara should positively regress here with his heavy GB arsenal, just enough to be held UNDER. Winds blowing in also favor the suppression of offense and allow the Marlins fielding to play close to generate those contact outs. Give us the UNDER!! MLB UNDER ⬇️📈 1u: Tyler Mahle u4.5 K -120 (MGM) Headwinds with high humidity calls for easy contact IMO for these stingy d-backs bats despite selling out yesterday. Mahle’s stuff is down this year along with his whiff rate. D-backs should be in swing mode given the conditions at play and I’ll be surprised if they let Mahle paint given his above average control of the strike zone. Short and simple here. Let’s get it! MLB UNDER ⬇️📈 1u: Will Warren u5.5 K -140 (MGM) A little juicy for my liking but I have to play the matchup given Warren’s recent K output against some soft matchups (Orioles twice, Astros, Angels, etc). Now he runs into the contact wall in the Blue Jays. Warren’s tendency to paint the zone should be neutralized here with the Jays high swing%. Even when they chase, they’re still making contact. Warren’s whiff rate is also average and winds blowing out left field should only help and entice the Blue Jays to the ball in play. I’ll take it here for Mr. Warren. MLB UNDER ⬇️📈 1u: Michael Soroka u5.5 K -122 (DK) We snagged the under last time vs the Brewers and he got rocked with his high stuff. The Pirates approach is similar to the Brewers as they look to put the ball in play by going ground vs righties. The numbers show as they boast a respectable K rate against them at 18.8%. We got caught the low last time and I still think this line could be lower IMO especially in a matchup like this. MLB UNDER ⬇️📈 1u: Logan Webb u1.5 BB -130 (DK) Padres are slumping a bit vs righties and should look for offense at Oracle Park with headwinds against a pitcher they’ve seen too many times in Webb. Padres are actually swinging a lot outside the zone and yes, they’ve drew 4 walks their last matchup against him but thats definitely an outlier as Webb is due a correction given that his location hasn’t regressed.
