I think ticket offices at railway stations are one of those things that remind of what a society should actually be. Real jobs and real interactions , and community can sometimes be placed above shareholder dividends. It's a choice we can make. #SaveTicketOffices

I moved to London roughly 30 years ago, a naif from the North, & #georgemichael was the first properly famous person I'd ever seen 'in the wild'. "Look", I said to my friend in the fancy restaurant, "that bloke looks just like George Michael....oh..."

Re-reading my musty Adrian Mole books, probably for the first time since they came out (this is a strange off-shoot of watching the harrowing Best Interests). They are fabulous. "I think I'm turning into an intellectual. It must be all the worry."
