Mike Breen: "I feel so happy for the fans. I've been a fan since I was about seven years old. I've been a Knick broadcaster for more than half my life. So I've been around Knicks fans forever ... For them to have a night like this is wonderful." (via WPIX)

Opening night predictions? (My guess: Celtics at Knicks, Thunder at Spurs) And what slot would you put the first Finals rematch in?

I said this after the Olympics gold medal game, and I think it's even more true now. Knicks breaking the drought is an incredible storyline but years from now, getting this many people exposed to Wembanyama early in his career may be remembered just as much.
Huge number of people watching Team USA, but arguably more importantly, watching France — I wonder how many of those people were watching Wembanyama play for the first time.

“Check your socials, because there’s big news in the sports world! No it’s not a blockbuster trade or a big-name free-agent signing!” The worst copy of all time.

Thanks for following along with this account for the past five years. I think my first tweet was about SRX on CBS (RIP).

Remember when this scorebug was associated with underwhelming viewership, clip-art trophies on the court, 90-second halftime shows, Stephen A. yelling at Kendrick Perkins, and a revolving door of game analysts? What a glow-up!

This hurt the final number for UConn-Duke just a few months back, so I definitely think it will take a hit of some kind. But maybe some people remembered Game 1 of the ECF (or some of the smaller margins the Knicks had come back from in this series) and decided to stick around?
Ratings expectations: Celtics' 2008 comeback from 24 down against Lakers -- also in Game 4 of the NBA Finals -- declined 5% from the previous game. I would imagine the early rout would have to have impacted tonight's number.

I am surprised the broadcast isn’t talking more about that Fox layup.
