Such a disturbing incident, I lived in Edmonton for several years and definitely experienced Islamophobia and racism in that city. There needs to be answers for this incident. My thoughts are with the family but especially his little children who witnessed this after Eid salah.
1/3. We are extremely disturbed and outraged by the treatment of a Black Muslim man by local police officer in Edmonton, Alberta last Friday.
The visibly Muslim man and his family were heading out of the mosque after Friday prayers last week—also the day of Eid al-Fitr.
