This is such a poor reading of what happened. Disney dragged their feet and Ncuti needed job security at a crucial junction in his career, and is potentially rightfully pissed off at that fact, so some jokes a year (not immediately) later are fair

Nostalgia worked for the 50th, but then Moffat couldn’t let it go going into the Capaldi era

Yeah there is no way DWM is around this time next year. It’s already £9 and creasing yearly. Print media isn’t like it was in the 90s. If they can’t afford to make the show why would they afford to make the magazine
It's going to be very challenging for Doctor Who Magazine to survive without new Doctor Who on the telly. I really hope it can.
