this is actually wild.. openrouter just shipped model fusion
right now you pick one model and it does everything reasoning, writing, code, etc...but definitely there’s no model that’s best at all three... you’re always settling..
when fusion runs them all at once, then a judge picks the best parts of each and merges them into one answer..
you kinda stop choosing but you get the best of every model in one response..
this is lowkey a huge thing cause frontier models are becoming specialised.. one is insane at reasoning, another feels human at writing, another cooks at code..
so instead of waiting for one perfect model, they just orchestrate them together...
feels like we’re moving from best AI model to best AI system / combo now...
also, we're gonna see people become known for their stacks and combinations the same way people flex setups, workflows, or operating systems today ...

Woke at 2am, drive 2hr to airport. Arrive at 4:20. Plane needed maintenance, new departure is 7 instead of 5. My connecting flight in DFW leaves to leave at 6:30am.
Had to cancel. Another 2hr home. Ugh!
