Since the beginning of this season, there's an argument that De La Fuente has done a better job of platforming Pedri than Flick has.
He has effectively given him this license to roam I was describing here, whereas Flick still deploys Pedri almost exclusively as a DLP.
There's a lot of discourse about whether Pedri is better deeper or between the lines.
The reality is Pedri is an all phases CM in-possession. You want him deeper in the 1st & 2nd phase, but between the lines in the final 3rd.
He's omnipresent. Don't restrict him to one role.
