1/4. Had a great experience @RiversideLondon yesterday. Requested an AD headset & wasn't met with a puzzled stare. They knew exactly what I wanted, made sure it was switched on & told me to raise my hand during the film if it wasn't working. Thank you, Marc the projectionist!...

3/4. ...and that is NOT okay for someone who actually needs AD to be able to enjoy the film. Cinemas need to train their staff on accessibility aids and, like Marc @RiversideLondon, to be close-by to fix any issues if they arise once the film has started...

4/4. Next time you go to the cinema please consider asking if they provide audio description, even if you don't need it. The more people who ask, the more likely they are to provide AD headsets and have them in working order. #AskForAD #AskForAccessibility #AskForAccess

Today I achieved two firsts! Streaming live on Twitch and audio describing live, simultaneously! Nail-biting. All in the name of the research project @AD4games. As soon as I figure out how to upload the recording I’ll share it along with details about how you can get involved.
