An interesting, productive meeting of the steering group today, working through possible constitution for a #hampshire wide campaign group; just cycling, or all active travel?
Do we need a Hampshire #ActiveTravelAlliance?
More work to do, but good to meet like minded peeps!
ALT Wilf and George reviewing a wall covered in post it notes of items we may wish to cover.
ALT A few of the delegates sat arou d a table discussing ideas.
When you try to give way to a child trying to cross a side road in his community in Stamford Hill, but a driver with a van full of kids has other ideas and impatiently drives on the wrong side of the road, nearly knocking the poor boy over! Disgraceful driving @MPSHackney!
Please don't ask me what i'm doing on here, but has the @RoadPeace site disappeared?
I know they have closed, but was hoping the site might remain up for a while, as wanted to reference something that was on it (or get it archived)
New place that I'm intrigued about it's attempts to become cycle friendly.. Some good, some very bad!

In front are two dutch style electric bikes, behind is an apartment building.
Apparently, banning cars in certain areas leaves a city unable to cope, will become untenable and a ghost town due to lack of people able to access shops and stuff.
I beg to differ.

Reform UK Councillor @georgeuk has claimed that the post we made about Richard Moore, their candidate for Alton was โslanderโ.
He lost convincingly yesterday in the Alton by-election.
George, and Richard Mooreโs supporters have provided no argument for why any of the information within it is libellous or slanderous (not sure George here knows the difference). We have documentation to show every word is accurate:

George, a Reform UK councillor for Portsmouth City council (@portsmouthtoday) on the other hand is a proven liar:

We think the council and @reformparty_uk should take action on this councillor clearly breaching the councillor code of conduct.

A family friend recently passed away at such a young age, and in his memory, some of his friends are raising money to buy young kids some bikes. Trying to create something nice out of a sad time. Would be great if anyone could share or donate gofund.me/a65d348f
I'm always sad to hear of the passing of someone, let alone someone who appears to have had a massive part of the local(ish) "Cycling Community" - especially when due to the anonymousness of this site, it could well be someone i've spoken to for years.

As if using your phone whilst driving isn't bad enough, let alone when your driving something this size. An expensive and dangerous call made by the driver on the M3 this morning, costing him at least 6 pionts and a large fine. #28036 #29099

In a historic judgment, the Court of Appeal has today ruled in Transport Action Networkโs favour, finding that the March 2023 cuts to cycling and walking funding imposed by the Treasury were unlawful.
I have always had concerns with @Meta apps and highly recommended people don't install them on their devices.
This perfectly explains why.

Hi @Tesco . Quick check please, you do check that your drivers have a valid driving licence and know the highway code, don't you?
Can you point out what's wrong with this picture?
