Well this is a beauty!! Cavalex’s new class 56 release. This one is a rails exclusive - and wow it looks wonderful! The large logo livery looks awesome and I can’t wait to detail it up and give it a light weathering

Popped down to the station today to see the empty stock from yesterday’s railtour returning to Crewe. Both loco’s looking superb and also got a bonus freight with 66200 heading from Dollands Moor to Daventry.

Unusual but very welcome to see a GBRF class 60 at Leicester but lovely to see 60095 coming though last weekend. Can’t remember the working but was taken on the 18th.

A newly repainted/overhauled 37218 went on a run out from Colwick to Coleshill Parkway and return today. Here she is being led by 37423 on the return leg approaching Nottingham. #train#trains#model#modelrailway#TMRG#TMRGUK
89001 making its way through the yards at Birchley Heath, and then passing at speed on the charter rake. I cannot praise this model highly enough - they really have captured the look of this unique locomotive brilliantly.

Oh now this is special! The badger has landed and it’s looking absolutely fabulous! I still remember my excitement of seeing this hauling a test train through Crewe not long after it was built.

Went in Glenfield tunnel today. Glenfield is a village just outside Leicester and the tunnel, when built in 1832 was the longest railway tunnel in the world! Now closed of course but opens occasionally to visitors
