Gary Lewis is the reason I played at Alcorn. Sat in my living and told my family “if he comes to Alcorn I’ll make him a better man and in 4 years he will set himself up for the rest of his life.” 22 years later he’s still 1 call away. This is what we mean when we say family.

Once I got to college @charleswoodson was my favorite football player, but my cousin Garry Lewis was my idol. He was a big brother to me. He played at Alcorn State, was drafted by the Raiders, & I was EVERYWHERE with him!
He told me I could be great, & more importantly taught me how. I’m not here today without him. I don’t think I’ve ever even told him… until today!
