I have made a living over the years trading the simple rectangle or Darvas Box
$AVRE Edwards & Magee and Schabacker called these rectangles. Nicolas Darvas, studied the works of both classical chartists. Picked up the rectangle and made it his own Darvas Box. With it he made millions. One pattern, repeated process. I like this text-book rectangle @jonbking

Sunday I will go through the weekly charts of Global Equities. 3000-4000 names. It should take 2-3 hours uninterrupted research. Going through charts gives a good perspective on markets. Any text-book setups I capture will be added to the watchlist.

$IYM ascending triangle. This tells me there can be more upside with the breakout above that clean horizontal boundary. @jonbking

On Social media, after the SpaceX IPO numbers are flying in the air. Millionaires... Elon Musk's $1 Trillion net worth. The whole thing is decimated to $ numbers. Whereas people at that level can't care less about the $ attached to it for the reason below. Probably their utility function peaked and trending lower. The satisfaction is from some thing else. The drive to achieve...
In ECON 101 we are thought the marginal utility function. The marginal utility function measures the extra satisfaction gained from consuming one additional unit of a good or service. In economics, it represents the first derivative of the Total Utility (TU) function with respect to the quantity consumed (Q) Diminishing Marginal Utility Most economic models follow the Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility. This dictates that while the first unit of an item gives a high level of satisfaction, each subsequent unit provides less and less additional joy. For example, the first sip of cold water on a hot day is incredibly satisfying, but the tenth sip provides far less benefit.
