The end of a 74-year tradition.
A joint statement from Sportsnet and CBC:
ALT After a successful 12-year partnership, Sportsnet and CBC today announced the public broadcaster will no longer carry NHL broadcasts after the current season as it moves forward with a new sports programming strategy following the unprecedented success of the Milano/Cortina Olympic Games. Watching hockey on Saturday night is a time-honoured tradition for Canadians, and Sportsnet is privileged to continue delivering that tradition. This has been a terrific partnership, and both parties look forward to continued opportunities to collaborate in the future.

Don’t ever recall a golf tournament where if you’re more than four strokes out of the lead, you’re also outside the cutline. (There are currently 73 players at -2 or better, with the Round One leaders at -6). This is nuts. @RBCCanadianOpen

Granted one of two international exemptions, Padraig Harrington is making his second @RBCCanadianOpen start this week @TPC_Toronto. In his first non-Major PGA Tour event in a year, he lightened Robert MacIntyre’s wallet by $100 during a putting duel on the practice green today.

Imagine being able allowed to manipulate the workings of an entire country for the sole purpose of lining your family's pockets, and the Supreme Court and half the voting population being totally cool with it.

Ossoff: Last September, the President of Kazakhstan calls Donald Trump and says he wants to grant tungsten mining rights to an American company. And the very next month, Eric and Don Jr. get a stake in the American company pursuing the mining deal.
Six days later, six days after Prince Eric and Prince Don get their stake, Kazakhstan announces this company will get, “The largest known undeveloped tungsten resource in the world.” A few more weeks go by, and then the U.S. government, run by their father, sets aside 1.6 billion of your tax dollars to fund and finance their mining project. In Kazakhstan.
All this while you pay more for gas, for groceries, for health care, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
