So Student Affairs at my school just received a email about this, so let’s clarify some things.
1. I’m outraged due to the reputation the collegiate esports will receive from this, regardless of if Fisher “is innocent or not”
2. I don’t work for my school, Esports at UGA is entirely ran by students hence the “I do work for free” statement. The whole point of that statement is that Fisher’s Director is most likely on salary and me and hundreds of other leaders are unpaid and not employed by our schools, yet avoiding scandals and doing incredible work.
3. If you’re gonna try to get me in trouble, at least talk to me about it first. If I said something that isn’t factually correct, DM me, and let’s talk about it. Sending a email to student affairs does nothing for this situation and is just immature.
4. I’m always going to be me, and my opinions of this situation have not changed. I’ve built Esports at UGA and my personal brand through being myself and a petty email isn’t going to get me on here backtracking.
I don’t know if the email came from Fisher or from someone else but you can find me anytime if you want to have a actual adult conversation about things.
My DMs stay open.
I still just can’t believe that hundreds of us are struggling to get our programs off the ground or grow community and colleges leading the way just couldn’t care any less about the scene. I do 10x the work of Fisher’s Director for free, and he gets paid to turn his nose up and cheat with a SCHOLARSHIP program. I’m disgusted that Fisher is considered a part of the scene and I hope they’re never allowed in any league again.
Everyone should transfer out of there as soon as they can
