I am rather harsh when it comes to #Marathon released by @Bungie and its numbers recently have been abysmal. This is the concurrent player count right now, the only stat that matters for a live service game. The problem is a few things. Firstly, after the free week how many are they going to lose. Secondly, that limited PvE mode ends as well. So many like myself who only really enjoy PvE will be forced back into the PvPvE experience. And I do not want to lose all my progress every 15 minutes. This is going to be the test if Marathon can survive. Remember the game's developer said he was okay with saying that Marathon not being a game for everyone. And if we wanted PvE then Marathon wasn't a game for us from an interview last December. Now already in season 2 we have a limited PvE mode (a promise broken to the PvPvE crowd) and a free week. Personally I am not a very big fan of the art direction or style, but it does have some solid Bungie gunplay. That doesn't exist Bungie/Sony's recent decisions either. They made their bed, they chose to lay with the very limited extraction shooter crowd. Even with a free week they are lagging behind Arc Raiders by 26k concurrent players. Bungie wanted to embrace the PvPvE crowd over their long time PvE fans now let them lay in it.

Destiny 2 - 11,138 Marathon - 608 Same time of day. Different genre game. Gee I wonder which is more popular. Loot shooter that lets you grind gear at any tier your comfortable at. Or a sweaty PvPvE game where you can lose your gear every 15 minutes? And they expect those of us who loved D2 to come to Marathon? Noooo thank you. Besides Bungie game director told us Marathon wasn't for us right before game launch. Now why in season 2 are they trying to add PvE game modes?

Also fuck Bungie.. Game Director Joe Ziegler said outright: “If you are only looking for PvE experiences, definitely Marathon is not the game for you.” So you wanted your sweaty PvPvE crowd. Destroyed any goodwill with the remaining Destiny players. This number is now under 10k, when I looked the first time about 2 hours ago it was 10,800 players. Destiny 2 has double the number of concurrent players. And for a live service lobby based game that less than 10k is a bad sign. A very bad sign. Now they try to bring in use PvE Raid/Strike/Loot crowd to the game they want to add it in season 2. So I say to you Joe Ziegler, Bungie and Sony fuck you. I will never play Marathon.

Very well articulated, but unlikely to move Sony from their current course of action. They are determined to sit on the sinking ship that is Marathon.

Should streaming sites like Kick be held liable for what their streamers do? Kick's lack of consistent moderation on its content they enable the most extreme behavior.

We seriously need to reign in these degenerate streamers... Johnny Somali, Jack Doherty, Vitaly, Clavicular. Until we hold those sites responsible for their lax rules enforcement like Kick or Rumble. "Free speech" isn't an excuse to be dangerous. And with how tied to gambling Kick is? Streaming culture is a big negative influence on youth today.

I voted for Trump because when I compared him to Harris I believed he was a better candidate. Did NATO and trade balance need to be addressed? Yes, but in the way he did it? Not so sure. I am not Catholic, nor am I overly Christian. Separation of Church and State and all that good stuff. Why pick a fight with the Pope? There are a lot of Catholics in this country. Did we need to start a war with Iran right now? Why did we back Orban and not the democratic candidate? At this point as a person who voted for Trump only in 2024, I support his removal from office. Not just because he released an image of Trump as Jesus. But for all the geopolitical nonsense he has started. Get him out of office immediately.

20 years ago a #TTRPG came out for #Babylon5 under a d20 license. The book "Darkness and Light: The Vorlon & Shadow Sourcebook" told from the same point of view has the character at the end of the 4h season showing the progress of humanity. The narration is set nearly a million years in the future where Humanity is a blend of Lorien and the Vorlon. They are able to move to the Vorlon homeworld. This TTRPG was packed full with so much information about the entire setting. In the opening credits it mentions the Third Ae of Mankind, and not sure how many people have seen these books with the recent inflammatory comments made by the creator. May hve brought up interest in the show.

I'm not Catholic, I feel that there could be greater separation between Church and State than there is now. That being said I am so tired of Trump, I still think he was better than Harris. He is nothing like Christ. And how could any supposed Christian conservative accept this idolatry.
