The drama ‘Toxic Town’ about the supposed clean up of Corby ( old steel site) is a very interesting watch. Comparisons???

The long-term high-paying jobs thing was always exaggerated. As for levelling up, in our opinion what was needed was a strategy to create a more mixed local economy. Houchen certainly never bought into that. And data centres while they are needed are not large scale employers.

If these Data centres do get the go ahead, won’t this blow up the levelling up programme? This was to achieve long term high paying jobs but will now show that it was just a transfers of wealth (even though the whole deal was).

Our opinion is that many MPs get on with the job of serving their constituents without a fuss and without seeking publicity. Some, however, were too quick to start yelling about bringing in the NAO to the TVCA, when, in reality, it wasn't an option.

The @UKLabour @Keir_Starmer could have investigated this 12 months ago instead he was welcomed with open arms. Is there any political party or MP that is not corrupt? Serious question

Funny, we've made the comparison between him and T. Dan Smith in the past, but actually he and Poulson had more in common with shoplifters at Home Bargains than they do with Houchen and the developers (and the other hangers on that make a profit out of TVCA contracts).

He likes to project the image that he is still in control, but the sudden departure of the director of finance and the monitoring officer suggest that, behind the curtain, his activity is being challenged. The BVN may seem unglamorous, but it looks as if it's having an effect.

The Ensus press release included a quote from him and the Journal reported that he had written to the prime minister. Nothing on TVCA news feed. 'It's abit awkward for him, given that he's invited Trump to visit Teesside.

The crisis in bioethanol obviously is not to do with mismanagement at local level, but reveals just how weak the UK's bargaining position is in trade negotiations with the US. What's to stop the president coming back in a few weeks' time and demanding more concessions?
