1 - I totally agree with you. In some other countries, people have the option to choose how much ethanol they want in their fuel, and the price varies accordingly. In India, however, consumers don't have that choice, and fuel prices are not adjusted based on the ethanol content.
If the government is blending 20% ethanol into fuel, then, in theory, the price should decrease to reflect the lower proportion of petrol. However, that doesn't seem to be happening.
2- Insurance companies are rejecting claims related to ethanol-related damage.
3- Cars manufactured before 2023 were not designed to run on higher ethanol blends.
