This year’s Takarazuka Kinen really is the highs and lows of horse racing. In 1st - Meisho Tabaru, ridden by the legendary Yutaka Take, follows in the footsteps of his father Gold Ship and wins Takarazuka for the second year in a row - making history. And the one DNF - My Universe. A talented horse who gave everything he had, now passed away. It’s enough to make me cry.

I’m gonna disagree here. Berating COMMUNITY MANAGERS is often good because they’re frequently self-important non-devs who are in it to be minor celebrities in their niche communities and not actually advocates for said communities, BUT: Berating devs, who are by and large NOT the same ones who have been working on Halo for 16 years (seriously, turn over in games is stupendously high and that’s even more common for outsourced vendors) is not going to get them to fix anything. They respond much better to criticism that respectfully points out what they’re doing wrong and how they can fix it. Trust me, I worked with them. I know what they respond to. TL:DR - Constructive criticism yes. Berating no. Bully CMs when warranted.

There’s a lot of story beats I don’t know in this video. I stepped away from Destiny a long time ago, and life has made it hard to come back to it for and since the update. But I will. I’ll come back. I really, really want to.

Last new Banjo game came out in 2008. The last new home console Conker game in 2005. I am begging @RareLtd and @XBOX to please for the love of all that is holy just make new games from them already instead of only milking them for merch for two decades 😭

People are flipping out about this like it's unique to Marathon and an indictment of this game specifically and not something that just happens in online multiplayer games sometimes. In probably 20-30 hours of the game across both Xbox and PC, this has not happened a single time for me. Lag spike go brrr.

✨ TODAY'S INSTALLMENT OF "THIS IS SO TIRESOME" ✨ I've often found the saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" to be trite, but in instances like this people just need to shush. It's one thing to give constructive criticism, it's another to just not want to play a game. But why be such a doomsayer that you're going to go out of your way to write off a game before it even enters early access? If that's all you have to say, don't say anything at all.

There’s actually an interesting conversation to have here. Most Destiny players never made it to the Lighthouse. Even fewer made it Flawless. A significant portion of Destiny players never completed a raid. Even fewer completed all of them. Many, if not most, Tarkov players probably never attempt Labs. That’s just a couple examples but there are many games where “endgame” content is effectively “gated” behind skill and teamwork. Does that make them bad games? No. Does it mean they’re doomed to fail? Obviously not. I think I’ll fight the Compiler eventually, but even if I don’t I’m thoroughly enjoying raiding and doing tasks in Marathon the same way I was perfectly happy playing Strikes in Destiny or practically living on Customs in Tarkov. Not getting to the pinnacle of a game is not the worst thing in the world.

If anyone knows anyone who bought tickets to @Halo Fest but isn't going to be able to go, please let me know. The second round of tickets was launched and sold out while I was sleeping (I work nights) and I really want to go 😭

The replies to this post just go to show that Twitter is not a real place. 40k concurrent regularly on steam is solid, and we can assume similar numbers across consoles. I just started playing and people just straight up gave me stuff in my first few raids. People in-game are way nicer than they need to be. But nearly every reply is about how the devs are horrible and the game is dying. Y’all 👏 Game is good. Devs are fine. You’ll live. Quit your bitchin’.

MAN the difference between @ARCRaidersGame players and @MarathonTheGame players is crazy. Played ARC for the first time today and people were so nice and helpful and gave me stuff. Marathon players shoot first and don't even ask questions later. I love that both exist. ❤️
