I’m gonna disagree here.
Berating COMMUNITY MANAGERS is often good because they’re frequently self-important non-devs who are in it to be minor celebrities in their niche communities and not actually advocates for said communities, BUT:
Berating devs, who are by and large NOT the same ones who have been working on Halo for 16 years (seriously, turn over in games is stupendously high and that’s even more common for outsourced vendors) is not going to get them to fix anything.
They respond much better to criticism that respectfully points out what they’re doing wrong and how they can fix it. Trust me, I worked with them. I know what they respond to.
TL:DR - Constructive criticism yes. Berating no. Bully CMs when warranted.
