The Iran Deal is dead. It always has been. We are merely entering another Act of this play. What Trump and the US are requesting of Iran is what Trump also rescinded in 2018 when he shredded the JCPOA that Obama helped create. Trump stated it was a "one-sided deal" made in Iran's favor. Why would Iran want to agree to the same deal that 2018 Trump said wasn't good enough? Iran would be agreeing with a coalition that can't respect ceasefires or handshake deals. The intention has never been to make a deal. The same countries that entered into the deal are the same countries whose economies will be devastated by continued closure of the Strait.
