The left is crying “cancel culture” and “silencing free speech” because thousands of far-left advocates are being fired for celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Let’s get something straight: this is NOT cancel culture. Cancel culture is ruining someone’s life simply because you disagree with their opinion. This is different. These are cooks, doctors, police officers, teachers, etc, people in positions of trust. Openly celebrating the murder of someone because of his beliefs. What conservative should feel safe next to a cop who cheers the death of conservatives? What conservative would want a surgeon to operate on them, knowing that doctor applauds political assassinations? This isn’t silencing free speech. In fact, by all means, keep posting your celebrations, because every time you do, society identifies another threat and removes them from positions where they could harm others. This isn’t cancel culture. This is accountability. And yes, it’s also exposing domestic terrorists hiding in plain sight.
