Men reach their peak testosterone levels in their mid-20s
After comes a slow but steady decline of about 1% to 2% per year.
By the age of 60, testosterone levels in men are at half of their peak level. Primarily due to aging.
How do you prevent this from happening?
👉 Avoid foods associated with lower T levels:
• Bread, both refined and whole grain
• Pastries, and all similar foods made with flour
• Sugar-sweetened beverages
• Coffee. Both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee have been linked to lower testosterone levels in some studies.
• Diet beverages
👉 Increase foods and behaviors associated with higher T levels, more muscle mass, and less visceral fat:
• Homemade food. Make your kitchen the best restaurant around.
• Dark-green vegetables.
• Sufficient but not excess protein (about 0.75 to 1.0 grams per pound of lean body mass — less if you are sedentary and more if you are very active with exercise).
• Certain herbs, including fenugreek, tribulus, and ginkgo biloba dry extracts, shown to improve testosterone levels. These herbs have been studied for their potential to boost testosterone and improve overall health. They are available at your local health food store.
• Detoxification and removal of endocrine disruptors.
Improve your T. Improve yourself.
